Hearthfire has an opening for a Baker to join our team in beautiful Bellingen. We are an artisan bakery, using certified organic flour. Baking beautifully hand crafted sourdough. Baking between 400 - 600 large loafs a night. We have a 150 loaf, 4 deck Mondial forni steam tube oven for our vienna and cobb loaves, and a single rack oven for tins. Passion and an eye for quality is essential. Sourdough experience is NOT, this can be taught to the right person. We DO NOT bake overnight. Our baking hours start at 11am and finish as late as 11pm, but usually it is around 9pm. We have enough staff to allow for rostering in order to allow a great work/life balance.
