An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a newly opening bakery café opening in the heart of NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE United Kingdom. Use your creativity in our hand moulding focused bakery where we will be producing artisan breads, buns, rolls and confectionary alongside our core product which will need the baker to have excellent hand moulding skills, a high level of creativity an eye for detail and importantly consistency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the mornings first batch so you will have to be experienced in the preparation of the kitchen, use of the machines and basic maintenance and able to efficiently manage your time.
The baker will work closely alongside a cook to produce our core products and will be preparing the dough in an area open kitchen.
Summary. Previous experience is in a bakery is preferred.
Certificates in food hygiene and Health and Safety will also be required.
The ability to work under pressure in preparation for rush hours.
Flexible to adopt new ideas and the imagination to create something new.
Be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised while achieving targets and maintaining deadlines
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Able to accept and follow instructions and delegate to the rest of the team.
